Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day

Find our PTA table located in front of the staff parking, near the TK & Kindergarten playground. We will be handing out some small prizes for those who walked or rolled to school this morning!!

Rolling to school includes biking, scootering, skateboarding, carpooling, roller blading, etc. Anything that has wheels that will get you to school safely!

Please wear a helmet!

Shade Structure

Our PTA has been working hard for the past several years to find a solution for the area between the MUR building and Library where our students eat lunch. That area is exposed to harsh weather and is in need of a shade structure.

Our mission for the 2020-2021 year was to raise enough money to support the cost of this project. Our only fundraiser for the year, the Dolphin Dash was a huge success even though it was virtual. We were able to raise $25,000!

With the hard work of our PTA project committee and support of our school staff, we were able to get our project approved and funded by the Measure E Bond. We were projected to have it start soon and be completed by the end of 2023. Construction delays for the middle school conversion have pushed our project back.

We will update you as soon as we have a start date.

We look forward to using the space not only for lunch but for other projects and events.

Thanks to the funds we raised during our 2021 Dolphin Dash, the PTA purchased 5 additional lunch tables.

Major Fundraiser - Dolphin Dash 2022

Our Dolphin Dash that was completed the week of Oct 26 - 30 was a HUGE success! Thank you to our Vallejo Mill community. We were able to raise $30,000. Since this was a volunteer lead event, 100% of the money earned came right back to our PTA to help our budget for the 2021-2022 school year. This reflects the impact that volunteering can have a direct and positive impact for our students.

We only have one major fundraiser so we don't need to do multiple smaller fundraiser throughout the year. This way we can ensure enough funding for the PTA to support programs, events and supplies for our students.

*The PTA Board hosts an exclusive Teachers and Staff only welcome lunch to introduce ourselves as the PTA.

Families will have the opportunity to meet Teachers during back to school night on Tuesday August 19 at 4 pm. Thank you.

Kona Ice will be joining us outside of the MUR, right next to the blue benches. While you cool down with some shaved ice, visit the PTA showcase table to see what we do to help out our school. We will have past events to show you and there will be a volunteer sign up sheet in case you are interested in joining us!

Halloween Dance Party

Dolphin Dash Fundraiser

Date: Friday, 17 October 2025
Time: 8:25am - 1:10pm
*Run times for classes vary*
Location: Basketball Courts

Our Dolphin Dash fun run event is just around the corner!

Our dolphins will be running for 10-15mins during their allotted time slot. Kona Ice will be in attendance to help cool them down after such a great run!

We are looking for volunteers who will help encourage our kids to keep running, motivate the parents to cheer on their kids!

Dolphin Dash Volunteers

Kona Ice will also need a couple of volunteers to help serve the shaved ice to our kids:

-Lower grade levels (TK-2nd) will have their shaved ice ready for them when they are done running. Volunteers will need to pour the flavors onto the ice.

-Upper grade levels (3rd-5th) will be able to pick among 3 different flavors. Volunteers will need to help the kids move along in picking their flavors, handing out napkins and spoons.

If you are interested and want to help out, please don't hesitate to sign up. On our sign up sheet, we have also provided the run schedule for the classes (maybe you want to help volunteer while your child runs?)
