It’s that exciting time of year again! The Dolphin Dash is back!

For those who are new, Dolphin Dash is our first and only major fundraising event of the year, filled with fun, fitness, and school spirit. Students and teachers come together to run, cheer, and raise funds that go directly toward enhancing our school experience.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 to give every student more ways to learn, explore, and play.
Every dollar raised helps support programs and improvements for our students, including:
• STEM & Science - Engaging assemblies, hands-on science equipment, and screen-free STEM projects and materials.
• Teacher & Classroom Support - Magnetic whiteboards, teacher-requested supplies, educational materials, and interactive tools that enhance classroom learning.
• Campus Upgrades - Shaded play spaces for our primary students, plus lunchroom warming and storage improvements.
• Field Trips - Meaningful learning experiences and field trips for students across all grade levels.
• Music & Enrichment - Music for Minors, instruments, supplies, and other enrichment opportunities.
• School Events - Community-building events that bring our students, families, and school community together.
100% PTA-Run, 100% for Our Kids!
This event is organized entirely by our dedicated PTA volunteers, and the funds raised also help keep PTA-hosted events free or low-cost for Vallejo Mill families.
Every Student Participates!
Whether or not families are able to give financially, every student will take part in the Dolphin Dash. If each student raises $75, we will reach our $30,000 goal. No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference!

(Look out for instructions in Friday Folders on October 2nd to find your child’s pledge page)
Event Day: Friday, October 16th, 2026

Hey Dolphin Families!
Dolphin Dash is coming up: Friday, Oct 16th!
Each student gets a FREE shirt! Please select your student's t-shirt size through the 99Pledges email that was sent out.
Here's out to select the correct shirt size:
1. Find the email: "99Pledges: Your Dolphin Dash 2026 Pledge Page!"
2. Click on the "Profile Management Link." This will be the SECOND link in the email.
3. Click on the "T-Shirt Size" Tab.
4. Click "SAVE." Don't forget to click save!
IMPORTANT: Shirt sizes are due no later than Friday, Sept 25th! If no size is provided, a shirt will be given based on availability!

Our Dolphin Dash fun run event is just around the corner!
Our dolphins will be running for 10-15mins during their allotted time slot.
Kona Ice will be in attendance to help cool them down after such a great run!
We are looking for volunteers who will help encourage our kids to keep running, motivate the parents to cheer on their kids!
**Run times from last year (2025) are provided as a reference on the spreadsheet**
Kona Ice will also need a couple of volunteers to help serve the shaved ice to our kids:
-Lower grade levels (TK-2nd) will have their shaved ice ready for them when they are done running. Volunteers will need to pour the flavors onto the ice.
-Upper grade levels (3rd-5th) will be able to pick among 3 different flavors. Volunteers will need to help the kids move along in picking their flavors, handing out napkins and spoons.
If you are interested and want to help out, please don't hesitate to sign up. On our sign up sheet, we have also provided the run schedule for the classes (maybe you want to help volunteer while your child runs?)

What is a fun run (Dolphin Dash)?
It is an opportunity for the students to earn pledges from family and close friends in exchange for 15-30 minutes of exercise.
The event is run by PTA volunteers, therefore, 100% of the money raised comes right back to the PTA to support our budget for the upcoming year. Many other schools use companies that help set up fun runs (boosters), however there is 40% fee for these services. Therefore, we opt out of using them.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $30,000 for STEM based programs, equipment, and supplies for our students/teachers. We also want to use funds to upgrade the exterior of the school (beautify). Other funds will go towards events and teacher classroom needs.
When is the Dolphin Dash?
Pledge week begins on Oct 05, 2026. We are using a site called 99pledges to collect funds. Students will participate in the Dash on Oct 16th.
How do I register my student?
Search for your student's name on our 99Pledges website or you were emailed a link with their personalized page. Use that to share with family and friends.
Should my child go door-to-door?
No, we do not encourage children to ask for pledges door-to-door. If you know your neighbors, then it is up to the discretion of the parent.
What if I don't want to participate in earning pledges?
We understand that not everyone will want to ask friends and family. We ask then you make a single donation on behalf of your family to the PTA. However, we still encourage students to take part in the run and they will still receive a t-shirt regardless of participation.
